FutMexNation is here to bring you a recap about our favorite extranjeros  and what you might have missed out on this weekend.

Serie A

Hirving ‘Chucky’ Lozano would have himself another spectacular game and is doing everything he can to keep Napoli in the title picture. He played 68 minutes – before being substituted by Matteo Politano – in his team’s tight 1-0 victory against Torino. In those minutes Chucky had three key passes, he also had 16 precise passes along with 89% passing accuracy. Chucky won four duels, completed a long pass and had a successful dribble. Napoli currently sit in third place with 73 points and possibilities of a Schudetto are still alive but very slim.

Rumors have emerged about a possibility of Chucky leaving Italy and Napoli to go to the Premier League as Liverpool are lining up a possible transfer in the summer for the Mexican superstar.

Eredivisie

Edson Alvarez scored a critical goal for Ajax that could help his club win the league. With just two games left in the season Ajax found themselves down late in the game against AZ Alkmaar but the Mexican international would enter the scene and end up playing the hero for his club. Edson also contributed highly to his team’s hard-fought victory. He had 53 precise passes along with a 88% passing accuracy, completed four long balls, had two shots on target, won eleven duels, and a clearance. With this draw and PSV’s eventual draw against Feyenoord, Ajax now lead the Eredivisie with 79 points. Barring a total meltdown and losing the next two games, Ajax are on route to become champions of the Eredivisie once again, with Edson’s goal potentially being the difference maker.
