The final round before the first international break of Apertura 2017 presents opportunities for teams to jockey for position in the table, even though there are no obvious derbies in the weekend’s matches. Among the action this weekend is a top of the table clash between third place Cruz Azul and Monterrey in Mexico City and a top-eight battle between Tigres UANL and Lobos BUAP at El Volcan. And on Friday, Juan Iturbe could make his Xolos debut in his new side’s tilt against Los Tuzos.
Saturday will also see two Ascenso MX Jornada 6 matches shown in the United States, with Potros UAEM hosting Atlante and Dorados hosting FC Juarez in a Northern Mexico derby.
