Juan Carlos Osorio names 23-man squad for October FIFA World Cup qualifiers

Today, the FMF released Juan Carlos Osorio’s selections for Mexico’s final 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Trinidad and Tobago and Honduras on October 6 and 10 respectively.

There were few surprises in or changes to Osorio’s selection to the teams Osorio had been calling in, even with first place in the Hexagonal all but mathematically assured for El Tri, even though some observers had thought Victor Guzman’s play during Apertura 2017 would have warranted a call-up to the the national selection.

The selection will convene on Sunday at the FMF’s High Performance Center near Mexico City and train before departing for San Luis to host the Soca Warriors of Trinidad and Tobago on Friday, October 6, and then for San Pedro Sula for El Tri‘s final World Cup qualifier against Honduras.
