Report: Osorio’s Squad Lists for 2017 Confederations Cup and 2017 Gold Cup are out

On Friday, Marca Claro reportedly obtained the list of Juan Carlos Osorio’s preliminary squads for both the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup in June and the 2017 Copa Oro.

The 30-man preliminary Confederations Cup squad will be called up for friendlies on May 27 against Croatia in Los Angeles and June 1 against Northern Ireland in New York, before traveling to Mexico to play FIFA World Cup qualifiers against the United States on June 8 and Honduras on June 11. After completing the World Cup qualifiers, the Confederations Cup squad, which features most of the significant Legionarios, will travel to Kazan to begin their Confederations Cup campaign.

The players considered in the Gold Cup squad will be given a work plan and convene at the Centro de Alto Rendimiento de FMF in Mexico City, and train under the supervision of assistant manager Luis Pompillo ahead of the Gold Cup in July, including preparatory contests in the United States.

Here are the reported preliminary squad lists for both tournaments. (Note: If a player is on loan from another club, the parent club will be indicated by a “via”. For players whose loan has ended, they would be considered returned to the parent club if the player is under contract with the parent club, until the player is moved on a full transfer or released.) All Mexican teams associated are current up until the Apertura 2017 player draft, scheduled to take place in Cancun between June 5 and June 8.
